Family-Friendly Accommodations at The Scottsdale Resort and Spa
Spacious and Comfortable Suites for Families
During our stay at The Scottsdale Resort and Spa, we were captivated by the luxurious guest rooms, starting at just $232 per night. Each room is a masterpiece, featuring rich textures with leather accents, intricately embroidered headboards, and hand-carved wood details. We reserved a single king bed room and it had plenty of space for a toddler bed. The room also had a couch and coffee table to relax and watch movies at night.
The modern Southwestern patterns added a contemporary touch to the traditional décor, creating a perfect blend of comfort and style. The bluetooth speaker was a great feature and kept our little one dancing while we prepared for the pool. Our room was a true sanctuary, offering a unique and memorable experience that perfectly complemented our Arizona getaway.
There were some rooms on the bottom floor near the fenced off pool area with a patio seating area right by the grass with games. It looked great for families that have littles who like to run around.
Dining Experiences at The Scottsdale Resort and Spa
During our recent trip to Scottsdale, we also had the pleasure of dining on site at Scottsdale Resort’s La Fogata Kitchen & Bar, The Madam Speakeasy, Barnaby’s Cafe & Wine Bar, and the Twisted Vine Pool Bar. All the resort staff was extremely sweet to our little 1 1/2 year old. The musician playing the live music at Barnaby’s played Old McDonald Had a Farm when our son was walking by – he loved it and danced until our seats were ready next door at La Fogata.
La Fogata Restaurant
La Fogata is an exceptional restaurant that embodies authentic Arizona dining. Nestled within an hacienda-inspired setting, the restaurant features an open kitchen concept centered around a wood fire grill, filling the air with the tantalizing aromas of fresh, regionally influenced ingredients. Overlooking the scenic golf course, La Fogata offers both a visual and culinary feast.
We tried many of the amazing menu items at La Fogata including the popular House Made Mole Meatballs with cotija cheese, pea shoots, carrot slaw, and fresh flour tortillas. The Pan Seared Day Boat Scallops were also a huge win featuring grilled street corn, grilled spring onion chimichurri, and a cauliflower bisque. Every plate had it’s own unique story and lots of local fresh ingredients!
The Madam Speakeasy
The Madam Speakeasy located behind a secret bookcase in The Social Boardroom of The Scottsdale Resort and Spa was a great place to grab a drink. This small Prohibition-style bar can be reserved on Open Table, giving you exclusive access to their artisanal cocktails & delicious bites.
Keep an eye out for the bookcase below and pull the book on the left-hand side shelf to get access to this unique space. Need to make reservations? Book on Open Table for The Madam here.
Within The Social Boardroom there is golf simulator, shuffleboard table, pool table, and bar to grab light bites as well. We spent some time here playing games and our son enjoyed throwing the dodge balls for the other games they offer like Zombie Dodgeball.
Barnaby’s Cafe and Twisted Vine Pool Bar
In the morning we grabbed a coffee and a chai latte along with some bagels and muffins and headed out to the beautiful outdoor patio for a relaxing breakfast with a view of the lush greenery among the fountains and lounge space seating. Our toddler loved the hanging basket chairs and throwing his coin in the fountain that the front desk includes in your key card packet on check-in.

Family Pools and Splash Areas
When staying anywhere in Arizona in the summer a pool is a must! This beach-entry pool was perfect for our toddler and he enjoyed playing with the little fountains along the pool’s entrance. The resort was nice and quiet during our Thursday-Friday stay in August, which made for a private and relaxing visit.
The outside pool bar mixed up a virgin piña colada for me (being that I’m 20 weeks pregnant at the moment) and our son enjoyed eating all the fresh fruit when he wasn’t playing around in the fountains and chasing the doves that were landing nearby.

Luna Spa
A staycation simply isn’t complete without indulging in a spa service. During my recent escape, I had the pleasure of spending a blissful hour at Luna Spa, enjoying their popular Microdermabrasion Facial. The experience was fantastic, leaving my skin incredibly smooth and well-hydrated. This visit was the perfect addition to my stay, adding a touch of relaxation and rejuvenation.
I spent a little extra time in the relaxation room working on my laptop and enjoying the quiet space. The other spa amenities looked great as well, such as the cold plunge on the outdoor patio. There is also a steam room and sauna. I can’t wait to return once baby #2 is here.

Exploring the Grounds
Aside from the great dining, relaxing pool, and spa session, we enjoyed exploring the property and all of it’s event spaces and open areas. My son had fun playing with the corn hole games and giant jenga blocks near the pool area. He enjoyed running wild in the resort’s large event space below was also a hit.
There were plenty of areas to lounge amongst the misters, making this space feel like a paradise in the desert.
