Nestled amongst the pine trees, high in the mountains of Big Bear California, is this little red-painted A-frame cabin rental. This A-frame cabin is the perfect vacation rental for a winter weekend retreat and a great option for those looking to enjoy the surrounding area of Big Bear Lake.
This cabin also known as the A-Frame of Mind Cabin, features a rustic wood patio allowing for a relaxing time out in chaise lounges or having lunch at the picnic table under the trees.
For those of you who have pets like me that bring your fur-babies along with you, this cabin is pet friendly!
A-Frame Cabin Accommodations
Accommodations include a full kitchen, cozy bedroom loft, a full bathroom with a shower, a large TV with Netflix, and free Wifi.
As soon as you walk in, your eyes are drawn to the beautiful wood burning fireplace. Tim and I had never used one before, but a YouTube video or two later we were up and running.
It reminded me of this Arizona Tiny House we stayed in during our trip to Sedona.
What to do in the Area
If you’re planning on visiting this A-Frame cabin in Big Bear California during the winter months and are looking for some skiing or snowboarding options, stop by the Snow Summit. Only 3.9 miles away from the cabin, it’s a beautiful scenic drive through the lakeside town for some snow day fun. If you visit the ski resort on your birthday, as I did, your lift ticket is free!
You can’t go wrong with a day of snowboarding and good drinks from the Slopeside Speakeasy. It was perfect weather to bust out my red Hunter boots too!
When planning for an Airbnb or vacation rental near Big Bear Lake or Snow Summit I recommend you check out Cool Cabin’s rental cabins. This hidden gem offered all we needed for a little birthday trip getaway.
I hope you get a chance to enjoy a refreshing morning sunrise on the patio while sipping a cup of coffee just as I did at this unique A-Frame Cabin in Big Bear California.
